  • When will I see my tattoo design?
I won't start drawing or designing your tattoo until you've secured an appointment with a booking deposit and a design fee has been paid. Due to my workload, I'll send you the design within the week of your appointment. Minor changes to the design can be made, but significant changes will entail another design fee and potentially a new day deposit to be paid if the appointment needs to be postponed to accommodate the design changes. To ensure the best result and minimize design changes, please provide me with as much information about your tattoo design during the consultation process.
  • Can I change or cancel my appointment?
If you need to change your appointment, please give a minimum of 48 hours notice; otherwise, you will lose your deposit. Your booking deposit will be transferred to the new appointment. Cancelling your appointment will result in the loss of your deposit. You may postpone your appointment up to two times, but any further postponements will require a new deposit. If you leave your deposit pending for more than 3 months without booking an appointment, it will expire.
  • How much will my tattoo cost?
Tattoo costs depend on several factors, including size, style, color, placement, and your pain tolerance. The more information you provide during the consultation, the more accurate my estimate will be. Remember, tattoos are an investment for life.
  • Do you sell vouchers?
Yes, you can purchase vouchers of any value to pay for a whole tattoo or put towards one. Contact me to purchase vouchers, which can be picked up in person from the studio or sent electronically.
  • How do I prepare for my appointment?
If you want to ensure the best possible outcome for your tattoo appointment, it's important to prepare properly. Prioritize getting enough rest and taking care of your health leading up to your appointment, as your body will be better equipped to focus on healing your tattoo. Avoid getting sunburned, as I cannot tattoo skin that is sunburned, and consider bringing snacks and drinks to maintain your blood sugar levels during the session. Additionally, it's important to avoid any strenuous activity after your tattoo session. Finally, please note that I accept cash payments only, as I do not have eftpos at the studio. Please ensure you have the necessary funds prepared in advance of your appointment.
  • What are your rates?
My hourly rate is $210, and the minimum booking time is one hour. Keep an eye out for flash deals or set charges for certain tattoo designs on my social media stories.
  • Do I need an appointment?
Yes, my studio only accepts appointments, to ensure a private, safe, and relaxed environment for you to be tattooed. Booking an appointment means your time slot is dedicated to focusing on you and your tattoo to provide the best personalized tattoo experience. Contact me to book your appointment.
  • Do I need to pay a deposit?
Yes, a deposit is required to protect both our time. To secure a booking, a non-refundable booking deposit is required for every appointment. The booking deposit will come off the price of the tattoo on the day of the appointment. If you need to change your appointment, please give a minimum of 48 hours notice; otherwise, you will lose your deposit.
  • How do I schedule a consultation?
Consultations are free, and you can contact me to discuss your tattoo ideas. Consultations are done online via email or through social media. Once you're ready to book a session, you'll be required to pay a deposit to secure and confirm your tattoo session.
  • Is there parking nearby?
Yes, there is plenty of free street parking. Bones Tattoo Studio is also located a 5 minute drive from Wellington Airport for anyone flying in from another city.
  • What is flash?
Flash is a pre-drawn tattoo design that can be tattooed multiple times. If you want to customize a flash piece, I'll be happy to redraw it to your specifications, but there will be a design fee attached. Contact me to discuss your tattoo.
